CryptoMesh VPN privacy policy

Desktop usage reporting is optional and off by default. If you enable Share anonymous usage in Settings, CryptoMesh receives a random installation identifier, app platform and version, free/Pro or signed-out status, app activity, connection outcomes and timing, bounded failure categories, and MCP tool names and outcomes. We store a one-way hash of the installation identifier, separate from account records, and delete these event records after 30 days. Reporting excludes account details, browsing activity, network destinations, VPN keys and profiles, and raw diagnostic text. Turning reporting off stops new collection and removes the local identifier. Our desktop download and MCP setup pages separately ask permission to count page visits, download clicks, and broad referral categories without cookies or visitor identifiers; browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable those web counts.

CryptoMesh VPN processes account and sign-in information; device and connection metadata needed to operate the service; subscription status; and privacy-minimized reliability reports. Beta participants also provide an experience rating, feedback category, written feedback, optional app version, and participation timestamps so eligibility can be enforced and the app can be improved.

CryptoMesh VPN 1.3 and later do not show ads. Your own imported WireGuard gateway is free to use without an account or session timer. A free account supports guided gateway pairing, device management, and revoking access. CryptoMesh Cloud VPN and cloud relay require an account and an active subscription.

Earlier app versions offered optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob on mobile and ayeT-Studios on desktop. That rewarded-access service has been retired, and this website no longer loads advertising. Data those providers previously collected remains subject to their retention and privacy policies; updating does not delete those historical records.

On Android, the optional trusted Wi-Fi feature requests Nearby Wi-Fi and precise location permission only while the app is open so Android can reveal the current network name. The app keeps trusted network names and a one-way network fingerprint on that device; it does not store location coordinates or transmit the network name or fingerprint to CryptoMesh.

CryptoMesh VPN does not intentionally store browsing history, destination IP traffic logs, DNS query history, or the contents of VPN traffic. Private device credentials remain on the device that created them.

Operational records are retained only as needed to provide access, prevent abuse, reconcile purchases, and meet legal obligations. You can revoke individual devices above or permanently delete the account and owned VPN records. Store subscriptions must be canceled separately through Apple or Google.
